When you decide to sell your home, setting your asking price is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Depending on how a buyer finds your home, price is often the first thing he or she sees, and many homes are discarded by prospective buyers as not being in the appropriate price range before these homes are given a chance to be shown.
Riverside has so much to offer for its residents with its amazing location full of natural beauty. It has a rich history by being the birthplace of the California citrus industry. Three orange trees planted in Riverside created the booming empire that you see today. It’s the 12th largest city in California and is situated a 47-mile drive away from the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The city is great for families and they’re always growing with new economic and housing opportunities.
California is a desirable state to live in for a number of reasons. From idyllic weather to breathtaking scenery, close proximity to the ocean and vast employment and real estate opportunities. The state is filled with mountains and beaches which makes it ideal for people who love being outside. With all the good things that come with California, there’s no denying that the cost of living can be considerably higher when compared to other areas.
Home prices continue to rise in the Golden State which affects the cost and quality of living. It is harder to purchase and maintain a home in California which has resulted in a greater exodus of Californians in recent years. In 2019, a total of 653,000 left California and moved to other states which resulted in a negative population change in the state, and unfortunately, this trend is showing no signs of slowing down.
Indian Hills is a neighborhood located about 50 miles outside of downtown Los Angeles and is part of Jurupa Valley and Riverside. Riverside is the birthplace of the California citrus industry, and home of the Mission Inn, which is the largest Mission Revival Style building located in the United States. Other than being rich in history, Indian Hills Riverside is characterized by its proximity to Hollywood, which makes it a frequent filming choice by movie producers because of its many architectural buildings and features.
Indian Hills is considered an affluent neighborhood in the new city of Jurupa Valley. Back in the day, the old Indian Hills was characterized by grassy knolls and rolling hills. Nowadays, you will see a lot of ranch-style homes spread out throughout the neighborhood, and lead to nearby Pedley Hills.

Hasina Hason and Leo Esparza are an award-winning team of RE/MAX Impact with experience, proven results, and a give-back philosophy! The company is located in Riverside, CA.
As part of their Go Serve Big Mission, they proudly give back to those in their community who need help the most. Each year, a significant portion of the income they receive from the sale of homes goes toward a worthwhile cause.
Because of Hasina’s and Leo’s commitment to excellence, you can rest assured that they will help you sell your home, a promise they guarantee (or they will purchase it themselves). They can also help you find a new home that meets your unique needs. So, you can feel confident recommending their services to family and friends who are in need of experienced, skilled, and generous realtors.
In his younger years, Leo Esparza was involved with coaching kids in Riverside. Many times, Leo helped the kids and their families in a variety of ways beyond the coaching itself. He offered financial assistance if they came up short with their monthly dues. He provided rides to practice and games for those who couldn’t get there otherwise. Leo also purchased soccer shoes and other equipment as needed.
And now, Saint Francis de Sales Catholic School at 4205 Mulberry St. in Riverside is one of the causes Leo and Hasina support. The school exists to support and help parents in the education of their children. (More about that later.)
Because Hasina and Leo have always been involved with helping children, when they found out that Saint Frances needed assistance, they didn’t hesitate. A core value of the company is “the size of the hole you give through is directly proportionate to the size of the hole you receive through.” As they give generously, their business grows, allowing them to give even more.
“My mom told me to give all I could, no matter what I was doing.”
Hasina continues to follow her mother’s advice to this day.
On a Mission To Do More
Currently, they’re on a mission to raise $10,000 in 2021 to help Saint Francis de Sales with their development fund, which assists students in covering tuition costs. The fund also allows the school to upgrade their technology, something crucial in this day and age, and purchase new curriculum and textbooks, without which they couldn’t continue educating their students.
A Focus on Faith and Education
“Saint Francis de Sales was built in 1917 and has been proudly providing academic excellence and religious enrichment to students in TK through eighth grade. The school is located in the heart of Riverside’s downtown area and has been a cornerstone in the academic community for over 100 years.”
Re/Max was a bronze sponsor of the school’s charity golf tournament that took place in April 2021. Leo and Hasina plan on having continued involvement in the tournament in the future.
As a leading non-profit, the school depends on sponsorships and donations to continue its mission of teaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hasina and Leo intend to do their part to see that the school is able to continue its efforts.
They invite you to visit the Saint Francis de Sales website and check out the excellent work they’re doing in the community.
On their website, you’ll find their Mission Statement:
“St. Francis de Sales Catholic School is an integral part of the parish community and believes every student is a child of God who deserves a quality Catholic education. Our mission is to teach and follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ while developing lifelong learners, responsible citizens, and good shepherds in our global community. We recognize parents as the primary educators of their children and work together to help students grow academically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially.”
You’ll also find their philosophy of education, yet another reason to partner with Leo and Hasina as they contribute to Saint Francis de Sales. “As a Catholic academic community, we recognize the parents as the primary educators of its children and we strive to extend and support their efforts. We believe that parents entrust their children to our care because their family goals and values are evident here at St. Francis de Sales Catholic School."
“St. Francis de Sales School is a Catholic, Christian community in which each individual is encouraged to acquire knowledge, skills, and values in order to be happy and serve God, family, and society in a responsible way. We celebrate the uniqueness of each child's God-given talents, intellectual abilities, and learning styles by providing diverse opportunities to use and share these gifts."
“The environment at St. Francis de Sales Catholic School is based on the teaching traditions and lived experiences of the Catholic Church. We believe that knowledge of our Catholic faith and frequent participation in the spiritual and sacramental life of the church will foster Gospel values in each student.”
Saint Francis de Sales seeks to instill faithfulness in their students, giving them “an awareness of actions considered to bring peace and justice into the lives of others.”
Their aim is to equip students to become effective communicators, those who “speak, write, listen, and respond effectively … share opinions and information appropriately,” those who “listen respectfully to the opinions of others.”
Saint Francis de Sales recognizes the importance of developing life-long learners who “set realistic goals and work to achieve them … critical thinkers who are able to handle failure and learn from it,” those who are “able to obtain information and use it effectively” and are equipped to “use technology in everyday life.”
It is possibly more important than ever before that students become responsible, globally aware citizens. The school’s desire is to teach students to “respect and appreciate ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity.” The students are taught “global and national events and their impact on our lives.” They are also taught to protect the earth’s resources and respect the laws of the land.
It’s no wonder Hasina Hason and Leo Esparza are partnering with them to ensure Saint Francis students have every opportunity to become men and women who will change the world for the better.
