A Heart For The Community

In his younger years, Leo Esparza was involved with coaching kids in Riverside. Many times, Leo helped the kids and their families in a variety of ways beyond the coaching itself. He offered financial assistance if they came up short with their monthly dues. He provided rides to practice and games for those who couldn’t get there otherwise. Leo also purchased soccer shoes and other equipment as needed.

And now, Saint Francis de Sales Catholic School at 4205 Mulberry St. in Riverside is one of the causes Leo and Hasina support. The school exists to support and help parents in the education of their children. (More about that later.)

Because Hasina and Leo have always been involved with helping children, when they found out that Saint Frances needed assistance, they didn’t hesitate. A core value of the company is “the size of the hole you give through is directly proportionate to the size of the hole you receive through.” As they give generously, their business grows, allowing them to give even more.

“My mom told me to give all I could, no matter what I was doing.”

Hasina continues to follow her mother’s advice to this day.

On a Mission To Do More

Currently, they’re on a mission to raise $10,000 in 2021 to help Saint Francis de Sales with their development fund, which assists students in covering tuition costs. The fund also allows the school to upgrade their technology, something crucial in this day and age, and purchase new curriculum and textbooks, without which they couldn’t continue educating their students.

A Focus on Faith and Education

“Saint Francis de Sales was built in 1917 and has been proudly providing academic excellence and religious enrichment to students in TK through eighth grade. The school is located in the heart of Riverside’s downtown area and has been a cornerstone in the academic community for over 100 years.” 

Re/Max was a bronze sponsor of the school’s charity golf tournament that took place in April 2021. Leo and Hasina plan on having continued involvement in the tournament in the future. 

As a leading non-profit, the school depends on sponsorships and donations to continue its mission of teaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hasina and Leo intend to do their part to see that the school is able to continue its efforts.
